Trim the Tree

One of my favorite times of the holiday season, decorating the tree.  

I sure do love these cuties!

Eliza and Dallin's favorite thing was to play in the tree bag.

That look says it all.  There were many ornament casualties this year.  

Thanksgiving

We had a quiet Thanksgiving this year at the Smith house with Jody and Jeremy's family.  Stan smoked the turkey this year.  While it may look a little charred, that's just the skin.  It actually was perfectly smoked and tasted delicious!

Instead of making several pies for just a few of us, Jody made one very delectable salted caramel pumpkin cake.

The kids had a great time playing with Jody's homemade slime.

Jody and I had fun making a Christmas craft.

And the guys and Meredith relaxed watching football.   

Jody and I completed the day with some evening Black Friday shopping.  

We have so much to be thankful for!

Toyland

In the past when we have gone to Toyland, we went at lunchtime before it got too busy.  With Miriam in school, we made two trips.  Eliza, Dallin and I went at lunch.  After school I went with only Miriam and Eliza, which was a good thing because it was super busy.  The event seems to get a little more crazy each year.  The kids still love it though.
