Trip to Utah - Orem

After spending the first part of the week in Lindon, we headed to Orem to spend time with some of the rest of the family.  Stan and I stopped at the Provo temple and did a session. It is so nice to be close to so many temples!

We had dinner at Chuck-e-Cheese with Oma, Great-Grandpa, Gina, Allen and cousin, Finn.

I think it met everyone's approval.

 The kids loved all the games and activities.  Miriam's favorite was playing games to earn tickets.  Eliza just liked the ones that you could ride.

The girls loved playing with Finn and they all got along together so well.  Eliza was introduced to collecting worms.

Dallin loved all the trucks and cars.

See any family resemblance??

We all loved the yummy meals. 

And of course some TV and game time.

One morning we went to the Farmer's Market and then to the Splash Pad.  The kids couldn't stop running, they had so much fun!

His dream come true--a bucket of sticks!!!

He really wanted Great-Grandpa's straw.

I'm grateful we don't have these window wells in Arkansas.  I can only imagine the trouble Dallin would find.

We had a good time with some extended family, doing what we do best, eating :-)

 The kids enjoyed watching a movie in 3D.  I think they look pretty cute in their glasses.

 Another great week spent with our family in Utah!

Trip to Utah - Lindon

We made our annual pilgrimage to Utah.  The two-day trip went rather well, no major catastrophes and we were all mostly sane upon arrival.

  

For the first part of the week we stayed with Nana and Papa.  

The girls enjoyed bedtime stories with Papa.

While there we made a quick visit to my Grandma Stradling.  

We also visited with our friends, the Johnsons.

  

Stan enjoyed a reunion with his two best friends, Kevin & Derek.

We took Papa and the kids and headed to Thanksgiving Point to the Museum of Natural Curiosity.

It was a hit with everyone (including the million other kids there).

Dallin was a trooper.

  

Swim Ranch

We did our second year at Swim Ranch this past week.  

This year Miriam was in Lane 1 with two teachers and three other girls.  She improved so much during the course of the week.

 

The second day they lined up the girls at the diving board and encouraged them to jump in.  They all chickened out and said no.  

Miriam and I talked later that day.  I tried to calm her fears and offered her a toy as incentive if she would jump the next day.  She asked Heavenly Father in her prayers that night if He could help her be brave and jump off the diving board.

I was so nervous the next day as she walked out to the edge.

And so proud when she took that step!

 She was the first one in her class to make the jump!  

Eliza was in the water babies class with me again so I didn't get any pictures of her in the water.  She did so good!  Tons of improvement from last year.  It was nice to have some one on one time with this sweetie.
