Outside

I LOVE Springtime!

It's just so refreshing after a cold, dreary winter.

I also love it because it means the kids can play outside more.  They do much better when they can get outside and run around.

 Dallin especially loves the outdoors.  It's an automatic fixer of the fussies.

It also gives me a good opportunity to practice my photography on the kids.

 

  

Comings and Goings

March has been a refreshing, busy month.

We went through a second (and hopefully last for awhile) round of sickness in the house of colds, flu and croup.  

And now we can move onto warmer and nicer weather.

The girls enjoyed washing the van to earn money.  Who knew work could be so fun?

Warmer Weather has brought on the short hair bug.

 Isn't she adorable?

We went on a movie date with their friend, Anna, to see Cinderella.  Really I think they just wanted to see the Frozen Fever short film before Cinderella, but they seemed to mildly enjoy the actual movie, and the popcorn.

I'm sure Eliza and Gemma (and Dallin and Mason) will have a few more matching outfits as Jody and I have similar taste and shopping habits.

Mixing Dirt

Stan has a new spring in his step these days, and I'm not just talking about the season.

Finally the time has come to be enjoying his favorite hobby again, gardening.

There is still the threat of overnight frost, so he has only planted a few things.  But he has been busy mixing dirt and adding to the existing beds, getting them ready to receive their new crop.

The girls have been doing odd jobs around the house to earn money lately.  This was one of their favorite jobs.

Stan has also been busy building a strawberry planter, 

  as well as a bed and support for the berry bushes (behind the strawberry planter).

We're all looking forward to a fruitful summer!

New Camera

As a disclaimer, I have no desire to become a professional or even semi-professional photographer.  

I just really like taking pictures to document our lives, and I was tired of how crummy they were turning out.

Here's to our new tool to change that. 

Now the operator just needs to take some crash course (thanks Pinterest) photography courses!

So expect a lot more pictures in the future, just don't judge too harshly yet, it'll be a slow learning curve.

Luckily I have some pretty cute subjects to follow around and practice on.

More Snow

The day after Dallin's birthday, we played in the snow some more.

Jody and I took the girls sledding.  Eliza sulked most of the time.

 But then Jody managed to get her to perk up.

Eliza just can't get over how cute baby Mason is.

 It snowed again the next week.  This one didn't last long, but I did manage to get Dallin out this time.
