Pumpkin Patch Fun

Yesterday some of my walking friends and I went to the local Pumpkin Patch. Miriam and I arrived first, so she explored while I took pictures.

Miriam tried to pick up the pumpkins, but wasn't quite strong enough.
Then she found the basket of gourds.
And off she went like a thief in the night!

When the others arrived, we put them in their Halloween costumes and had some fun!
Can you tell we're all first-time moms?

And she found the gourd basket again.

We had a butterfly, ladybug, garden gnome, giraffe and turtle--and a monster who was done by this point!

Now that's a big pumpkin!
We never even made it out to the patch we had so much fun with the pre-picked pumpkins and displays.
Miriam was having so much fun she didn't even notice she had on a hat!

Little Monkeys

Madison loves Miriam and for some reason unknown to me, she loves to come over to my house.
We had Jody, Cace & Madison over for dinner last week. Apparently all week she was bugging Jody, "How many days 'til we going over to baby Miriam's house???"

Finally, for Madison, Friday came.
The girls got a bath and got ready for bed, in their matching pajamas.

We didn't buy them matching p.j.s on purpose, but it sure does make for a cute photo.

Jody and I read them some stories before bed. Notice Miriam has her own book. I guess this one is not exciting enough for her.

We ending the evening with an intense battle of the game "Colosseum."
Cace won.
I want a rematch. :-)

Fall is Here!

After a blistering hot summer, a week ago the weather finally decided that it's Fall now, and it better start acting like it.
The nights have been quite cool and the afternoons only up to the low 70's, which is almost like heaven.

Miriam has had to bundle up a little more when we go jogging though. I couldn't resist showing off her cuteness again.

I love this time of year when it's still colorful, but the weather is a little more bearable and enjoyable.

Now if we could just figure out how to skip winter...

More Space for More Stuff

It's interesting that no matter how big or small the space we live in, we tend to "fill it up." I lived in a small apartment for many years and always managed to fill all the space I had.
Now I've lived in a house for 3 years and have managed to fill that space.
Since we can't (and shouldn't) move to a bigger house just yet, our next option was a storage shed.
After months of deliberating and waiting around, we finally got started.
Well, Stan did anyway.
First, my wonderful husband built the foundation
Then with the help of our good friend Mark and some delicious snicker doodle cookies, they assembled the shed.
A 7' x 7' shed. Small, but just the right fit for beside the house.

And you guessed it, we've already filled it!
Now we can get more stuff!! :-)
