Eliza turned 1 year old.
I made another birthday bear cake (don't look too closely Rebecca :-)
We had a party with some friends and family.
Miriam tried to blow out Eliza's candle for her.
Eliza started with a little frosting,
and quickly began digging in.
This cracks me up. Her cousin Brooke found a hot dog bun on the floor that Eliza had thrown overboard earlier. She picked it up and set it on Eliza's tray. Eliza grabbed it (thinking it was more cake) and took a big bite. This is her expression when she realized it was NOT cake!

The fireplace hearth is Eliza's favorite spot in our new home. She loves to climb up on it, even though she doesn't know how to get down yet.
Her gift, a little cabbage patch doll.
It never ceases to amaze me how much a child changes in that first year.
This precious little girl has brought so much joy and light into our family. She is full of life and personality and always has a smile to share.

She's adorable! Loved the cake montage... and that cake was awesome! Very cute little bear.
