After some persuasion from my sister-in-law, Anne, we decided to try a new method of swim lessons this summer, the Swim Ranch.
We LOVED it! Now I can see why Anne loves it so much and why it's so hard to get into.
It's an outdoor pool, built up in the hills in the woods. There are trees surrounding the pool. It's a very cool atmosphere. But more important than that, their method of teaching makes a whole lot of sense and really seems to help the kids in their learning to be safe and to swim.
Since it was our first year, the only classes we could get into were the water babies, Mommy & me class. Thankfully my sister Sara was still in town and stayed with me that week and helped be the second mommy for Miriam while I swam with Eliza.
Miriam is really close to being able to doggie paddle all by herself and Eliza...well, she started off well and got progressively more stubborn as the week went on. She'll get to do another summer of water babies next year.
