Sisters Reunion-Day 2

So this trip to Orlando we decided to stay at the Walt Disney Resort, partially because Anna and Sara got us a good discount, and also so we could take the shuttles and avoid having to rent a car. I must say that although the rooms were small (we stayed in the cheapest of the Disney resorts), it was nice being able to just take a shuttle to the parks and not worry about parking and traffic and finding your way around. It also gives you time to take more pictures!

We stayed at the Disney All-Star Sports Resort. It was fun to see the way they decorated around the buildings in the sports theme.





Thursday we spent the day at Magic Kingdom, the most popular of Disney World's Parks.

We decided to watch the afternoon parade and go early to get a good spot. An hour early was too long on this hot day with no shade. We had to keep taking turns stepping in the shade. Some of us went to get ice cream and it was dripping all over by the time we made it back. Needless to say it was HOT.

The evening fireworks show was amazing, but very crowded.

Sara had to work that evening, so we caught her in her "costume" for a picture.

Sara shared a skill that not only did I not know she had, I didn't even know existed. It's called drawing "Water Mickeys." She filled her dustpan with water, put a rubber band around the broom and drew Disney characters. Apparently you have to take a class at Disney to be able to draw them in front of park guests. While we waited for the evening parade, she entertained us with her drawings. She was very good and it was fun to watch other people show interest and be impressed by her.





Because we were a resort guest we got to stay past closing time for "Extra Magic Hours." That night these hours were from Midnight-3:00 a.m. Even though it's late, it's very nice because there are practically no lines for the rides.
Friday morning we slept in late since we had been out so late the night before. All we had time for was a quick trip to Downtown Disney for some lunch, shopping and of course, Ghiradelli's ice cream.

We had so much fun together and didn't even fight with each other! It was definitely too short though, so we already started talking about what the next sisters' trip should be.
