I love living in Northwest Arkansas. It is really a great place to raise a family. There's not too much of the big city life, but enough "things to do" around here that you don't get too bored.
The area is also continually developing and adding new points of interest and recreational activities, one being a major museum opening soon.
In our small city they have something called "First Friday." The First Friday of every month from Spring-Fall the town square is booming with vendors, live music and various other events and activities.
In November they do something called Toyland in which all the Wal-Mart vendors set up booths and displays of the cool new toys for the Holiday season.
My favorite was the life size Cars from the hit Disney movie. Miriam wasn't terribly impressed but Stan was.
However, she LOVED driving around on the toddler mini-quads. We entered our names in a drawing to win a free one. Of course we did not win, but it was a good time anyway.
It was quite funny to watch all the kids drive around like it was bumper cars. I think Miriam needs a few lessons on steering before she's ready for the road.
Here's a few videos of the craziness
And what Toyland would be complete without Disney Princesses?
Although fun, it was a little tiring, waiting for her to play with all the toys at each booth. Needless to say she did not want to leave when it was time to go!
