Camping

The tradition for the Hornberger reunion has always been to camp for a week.  While it's not easy to camp, it is inexpensive and it allows for easier mingling and gathering among family members.

We camped at Wasatch Mountain State Park.  It was nice and hot during the day and very cold (for the summer) at night.

One of the activities we enjoyed while there is biking through the canyon.
Bridal Veil Falls.

At the campground common area the kids played hard.

We had several family gatherings in the evenings.  One of those nights was "Meet the Ancestors."  Dad and Janet taught us about about great grandparents Philip and Angelina Hornberger.

Jack and Judy taught us about great grandparents Frans and Hilda Svenson.

And of course there was yummy dessert!

Following tradition, we had a pancake breakfast.  It just so happened to be Canada Day, so the Canadians celebrated with the Maple Leaf.

As you can tell, I don't think anyone went hungry!
