Family Time

This vacation we took was about family.

All of my family lives in Northwest Arkansas. All, except my oldest sister, Melissa.

My father is Canadian and my four oldest siblings were actually born in Canada. They didn't move to Missouri until right before I was born.

When Melissa was out of high school, she decided to come have some adventures in Calgary, Alberta for awhile. Little did she know that she would meet her husband Shane and live there permanently.

We don't get to see her and her family very often because of the distance and cost of travel, so we felt fortunate to make our way there this summer.

Melissa has four children: Zachary (14), Taylor (12), Abby (11) and Maddy (6). It was great to spend time with them. Miriam especially enjoyed her cousins as you can see.

A lot of my cousins, aunts and uncles also live in the Calgary area. My Aunt Anne organized a Sunday dinner while we there and had many of them over. It was like a mini-family reunion. The Hornbergers will recognize many of the family.

I am so grateful for family. I think the world would be a lonely place without them.
