Tuesday we went to Disney World's Magic Kingdom. This is the park that everyone thinks of when they hear Disney World. This is where all the princesses are, along with Cinderella's Castle.
Here we are waiting in line. I was naive enough to think we wouldn't have to wait much since we were going in the off-season. I was wrong.
Oh the lines and waits were definitely not as bad as if we had come during peak season, but we still waited enough to wear me out.
One thing we didn't wait in line for was pictures with the characters. So the few pics we do have are with the "less loved" ones. There wasn't a line for Stitch, so why not?

You never know what kind of picture you'll get when you ask a stranger to take your picture. She got plenty of sidewalk but couldn't fit the whole sign. Oh well...

The sewing room in Minnie's house.

Gazebo in Minnie's back yard. Check out those lovebirds!

Then...it rained. Anna said it had rained maybe three times in the last two months. Guess how many times it rained the week we were there? Yup. Three times.
This is at the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
Anna & Sara work at Magic Kingdom, Anna with costumes & parades and Sara doing custodial. They both had to go to work later that day and we happened to run into Sara while she was hard at work.
Check out her lovely "costume."
We asked for her picture and autograph. Now she can feel special like all the princesses :-)
The daytime parade got canceled because of rain, so we came back later that evening and watched the "Electric Parade." Anna helps behind the scenes on this parade.
Pete's Dragon.
The fireworks show at Cinderella's Castle. Apparently Tinkerbell will usually fly down (via zip line?) but it was too wet and foggy.

The castle kept changing colors, very cool.

They hadn't taken down the Halloween decorations, so we had some fun trying to make scary faces.
A long, but fun day at Magic Kingdom. This is the most popular park for young kids so there were TONS of strollers. I was glad not to be in the middle of that madness with my own stroller, sorry Miriam.
Next up, Islands of Adventure!
