This past weekend we went to visit one of my best friends, Amanda and her husband Orie. They currently live in Dallas, about a 6 hour drive for us. We had a great time and were very glad to spend some time with our friends.
Miriam had several firsts this weekend.
This was her first road trip. She did pretty well, up until the last hour on the way home and then she let us know she was done.
This was also the first time she went swimming in a pool.
She loved it!
My little water baby.
And, this was the first time she got to play with a dog.
She loved him!
And he loved her. So much that he just wanted to kiss her all the time.
Poor Brackett. No kisses!
Amanda is pregnant with a boy, only a few weeks from her due date. I took some pictures of her so she could remember this big time in her life.
She makes such a cute pregnant lady!
It's great to have my friends having babies too. Now Miriam has several built-in friends!
It was such a fun weekend. We went to the Dallas temple, had lunch with another friend who lives in Dallas, Suzanne. We made a trip to Babies R Us (I LOVE that store!), went swimming and played Mario Brothers on the Wii in a HUGE theater room at Amanda's apartment complex. We played board games with Amanda and Orie and ended the fun weekend with a hard core shopping trip to...
Ikea.
I love this store and wish we had one closer. But it's probably better on our budget that we don't.
