This year we decided to make our family vacation less big city and tours and more friendly for the kids. So we made a 14 hour drive to the Gulf of Mexico in Destin, Florida.
It was a long drive with the kids, but over all I think they did really well.
Destin and other nearby coastal cities combine to form what is called The Emerald Coast.
It really is so beautiful.
One if it's famous attributes is the white sand.
It was AMAZING!
Fine and clean and cool to the touch...sand doesn't get any better than this!
It was Sunday, so we weren't going swimming, just taking a walk.
But Miriam couldn't resist rolling around in the sand.
We met up with some of my sisters on this trip; Anna, Jody & Sara.
Sara and Anna live in Orlando so they had a shorter drive. I sure do miss all these girls!
