I am often asked how Miriam has handled Eliza's arrival into our family.
Well, in many ways, she acts as if Eliza has always been here. When she was first born, Miriam was mostly indifferent. She didn't act surprised or very interested in this new person living with us.
Over the past three months, though, she has gone back and forth between love and jealousy.
She loves to hug and kiss Eliza.
She always makes sure that we don't forget Eliza when we go to the car.
She loves to lay next to her under her play gym.
She loves to play with Eliza's toys (and is still learning to share).
We brought out the Bumbo seat for Eliza. Miriam was so excited she had to go get her own chair and sit next to her.
Miriam loves to sit in the Bumbo too. What an amazing chair that they both can fit in it and it's pretty indestructible!
Miriam's jealousy mostly happens when Daddy is holding Eliza. As you may recall she is a Daddy's girl and doesn't like to share, so moments like these are not as common as I'd like.
But make no mistake that she LOVES her little sister!
