Cruise Food

Fair warning, if you are currently hungry or easily made so, you might want to skip this post.

Anyone who has been on a cruise before will tell you that the best part is the food.

Not only is there LOTS of it, but it's already included in the price of your cruise, so you don't have to pull out your wallet for any meal, and you can eat as much as you want.

We took advantage of the always available soft serve ice cream.

For breakfast and lunch we ate at the Cabana (buffet).  Some of my favorites were the shrimp, crab legs and delicious strawberry yogurt (not like the stuff in the store).

For dinner we ate in the dining room.  On the Disney Dream, you rotate each night to a different Dining room.

The first night was the Animator's Palate.

Our assistant server gave Stan a math problem.  Only move one crayon to make it equal 4.

The look of defeat when he gave up.

Crush, the turtle from Finding Nemo, would swim through the water and talk to the different tables.  When he asked where Stan was from, Stan said "everywhere."  I nudged him and he said "Arkansas."  Crush said " you should have stopped with everywhere."

Lobster ravioli.

Yes, you could order as many desserts as you liked.  And we did.

The second night we ate at the Enchanted Garden.

All in our cruise party were myself and Stan, Kevin & Heather, and Sara and her roommate, Nichelle.

This was the first (and last) night that we all ordered two entrees.  It was a bit much, but check out all those plates!

The last two nights, we ate in the Royal Palace, fashioned after where the princesses would eat.

I think this was the Wild Boar.  Yum.

French Onion soup.

Avocado Citrus Salad.

Shrimp & Lobster.

Creme Brulee and Strawberry Shortcake Sundae.

One of the nights was Pirate night, hence all the bandannas.

Our assistant server, Yolanda, was a little quirky.  She would always bring everyone 2 or 3 glasses of lemonade and then our whole table would be filled with glasses.  Finally one of the last nights, Sara asked if she could only have ONE glass.  Stan and Kevin had to drink out of all three of their glasses on principle.

Believe it or not, we didn't take pictures of everything we ate.  Sometimes we were too excited to dig in!
