Nassau, Bahamas

For our day in Nassau, we visited the local straw market.  We found a few trinkets and then quickly fled the constant barrage of people trying to sell you something.

For our excursion, we went snorkeling.  It was by far the best snorkeling trip I've been on.
The boat could hold 300 people.
There were 10 of us.  It was awesome!
We got on and off the boat very quickly and had lots of time and elbow room in the water.  The water was a little cold, but it was worth it to have it to ourselves.

On the way out to the reef we got a waterside tour of Nassau.  Here's the famous Atlantis Hotel.  The bridge in the middle is a 10 bedroom suite that rents for $25,000 a night with a four-night minimum stay.  Not exactly in our price range.  I guess that's why people like Michael Jackson stayed there...

I love the bright colors of theses homes.

Out at the reef.  Thankfully Kevin had a digital underwater camera and snapped a few great pictures and videos.

Check out this video.  This was my favorite fish, the Lion fish.  His fins reminded me of bird feathers.  We saw a lot of him and he just lazily hung out at the bottom.
